In Vivetra: Withdrawal dates

On this page

Withdrawal dates shows, for every pen and every tagged animal on your operation, whether it's inside a withdrawal window today. Check it before you load a truck or send milk to the tank.

Every date on this page was entered by one of the clinic's veterinarians from the product label or a FARAD consultation. Nothing is worked out by the software.

Open the withdrawal board

Sign in to the portal first (see Sign in to the client portal), then:

  1. Select Withdrawal dates in the portal menu.

The banner at the top

The banner tells you the most important thing first:

Banner What it means
Red: "… inside a withdrawal window today and cannot ship." At least one lot or tagged animal is held. The count of lots and animals follows.
Amber: "Nothing is inside a withdrawal window today, but … a treatment on file with no withdrawal date recorded." Nothing is held, but some treatments have no date written down yet. Call the clinic before you load those.
Green: Nothing on your operation is inside a withdrawal window today. Every treatment the clinic recorded for you has cleared. It doesn't cover anything given by someone else.

If your operation has no lots or tagged animals on file yet, the page says so instead.

Read the tables

  1. Under Lots and pens, find the pen. Each row shows the Lot, the Operation, Meat withdrawal through and the state Today. If one tagged animal in a pen was treated on its own, it's listed under that pen, and only that animal is held.
  2. Under Individually tagged animals, find animals with their own official ID. These rows also show Milk discard through when the clinic publishes milk dates. Carried from its pen means the animal was pulled out of a pen and still carries that pen's hold.
  3. Check the key under How to read this if a state isn't clear.

Milk discard dates aren't shown against a pen. A milk hold is recorded against the individual cow, so lactating animals appear in the tagged-animals table. Some clinics also publish an Export interval through column.

What the states mean

State What it means
Hold (for example Meat hold, Milk hold) Inside the window today. It can't go for meat, or its milk can't go in the tank, until after the date shown.
Hold ending soon Still held. The window ends within 7 days, shown so you can plan a load.
Clear Nothing has been given, or the recorded date has passed.
Not recorded There's a treatment on file with no withdrawal date written against it. This isn't a clearance. Call the clinic before you move that animal.

If the page isn't there

Some clinics go over withdrawal dates by phone instead. You'll then see "We go over withdrawal and discard dates with you directly rather than online." Call the clinic before you ship or send milk.

To see the treatments behind these dates, see Look up treatments and medicines used.
