In Vivetra: Breeding › Breeding Overview

On this page

Breeding Overview shows the whole breeding program on one screen: which mares are in season or due soon, which embryos and shipments are still waiting on something, and which stallion books are open. It doesn't hold any records itself. Every line links to the horse's own screens, where you record what happened.

What each section shows

Section What's on it
Mares in season now Mares whose predicted heat window covers today, with the window and what the prediction is based on.
Mares due in the next 14 days Mares whose predicted heat window opens in the next two weeks.
Embryos recovered, not yet placed Flushes in the last 90 days that recovered an embryo with no recorded outcome yet.
Transfers awaiting an outcome Embryos transferred in the last 90 days with no pregnancy check or foaling recorded. The first scan is normally 14 to 16 days after transfer, and the Days since count is highlighted once it reaches 14.
Shipments not yet confirmed arrived Semen shipped in the last 90 days with no arrival confirmation. Days out is highlighted after a week.
Open stallion books Stallion seasons for this year or later that are still taking mares, how full each book is, and whether the stallion is still Standing.

Predictions come from each mare's recorded cycles, so a mare only appears in the first two sections once her heat cycles are being recorded (see Track a mare's heat cycles).
